‘Transition of Fashion Illustration from Paper to Screen’ exhibition is a joint venture between the School of Fashion and Textiles (SFT), The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and FASHIONARY. The exhibition displays exquisite hand-drawn fashion illustrations and digital fashion illustrations using FashionDraw by renowned fashion illustrators, PolyU staff and students, which also embodies the teaching and learning outcomes of digital illustration using FashionDraw, an iPad drawing app designed by FASHIONARY exclusively for fashion illustration. The initiative was supported by the Seed Fund for Promoting Digital Literacy from Education Development Centre of PolyU. When we were organising this exhibition, we hoped to enhance visitors’ interest and knowledge on fashion illustration through the sketches and digital drawings on display.
