PolyU Fashion Show 2024

Welcome to PolyU Fashion Show 2024 – one of most awaited events in the Hong Kong fashion industry. It is with great pleasure that I warmly welcome you to this annual event which puts the spotlight on emerging talents among our graduating students. Are you ready to meet these amazing up-and-coming designers? 

This year, 30 selected collections of students who are graduating from the School of Fashion and Textiles (SFT) flagship programme, the BA (Hons) Scheme in Fashion and Textiles, will take centre stage, including 16 students whose major is in Design, 4 with a major in Knitwear Design, and 10 who are in Intimate Apparel and Activewear. Also, the PolyU Fashion Show this year features an element of surprise – 10 graduating students in our MA in Fashion and Textile Design, will also participate in the event. I’m sure their collections will delight and impress you. 

Positioned as the forerunner in fashion education, SFT nurtures new artistic expressions, an environment that cultivates avant-garde fashion students with a global outlook, and new ways of thinking. We do so by offering state-of-the-art facilities, insightful and outstanding faculty members who envision the transformation of students into work-ready professionals and productive citizens, and access to a creative community that provides opportunities to young talents and values them as contributors to the growth of the industry. 

Our graduates are respected and sought for their specialised skills, ability to apply cutting-edge knowledge to the real business world, and professional knowledge. These qualities are all found in their collections, which have synthesised knowledge, skills, and technology in their interpretation of today’s world. Every year, the PolyU Fashion Show attests to the passion and unwavering commitment of our students to fashion. 

This year is no different, as the students bring their fashion vision to life on stage. We know you will remember each and every collection because each is as unique as its designer, reflecting his or her dedication to the craft. In ending, I am grateful for the support of our sponsors, judges, industry partners, alumni, staff members and students, for without this community of invested stakeholders who have come together to contribute and collaborate, the Show would not have seen the incredible success as it has throughout the years. Your involvement and engagement have greatly impacted and shaped the event and the School.
