International Student Fashion Film Contest 2021

The International Student Fashion Film Contest 2021 (ISFFC2021) aimed to promote and award-recognize creativity and innovativeness in fashion related fields; to discover and nurture young fashion talents and facilitate fashion careers; to provide non-profit-making and interdisciplinary networking opportunities for international fashion connections; and to promote fashion sustainability, cultural diversity, and idea exchange around the world.
Themed as FASHIONALOCALISM, the ISFFC2021 aimed to promote fashion sustainability by recognition of cultural diversity of different countries, cities, societies, and communities in the fashion world. The Fashion Gallery of Institute of Textiles and Clothing, The Hong Kong Polytechnic University had invited new talents of fashion filmmakers and designers to participate in the ISFFC2021 and showcase their fashion aesthetics, creativity, distinctive cultural identities, and sustainable visions based on the theme.
The contest had been successfully held through May and July 2021 with the support of young talents who are enthusiastic in Fashion Filming. Submissions from over 50 talents from fashion institutes across the world were received. The works demonstrated high level of innovativeness and distinctive fashion interpretations.
Thanks to the professional assessment of the jury panel, 10 outstanding submissions have been shortlisted as finalist for the 5 titled awards and merits sponsored by Fenix Group Holdings Limited and Hong Kong Institution of Textile and Apparel. The Fashion Gallery is delighted to showcase and celebrate the quality works of the finalists.
