To promote the ‘Hong Kong Week 2013@Taipei’, the Institute of Textiles and Clothing (ITC) of The Hong Kong Polytechnic University (PolyU) and the Hong Kong Museum of History jointly staged the ‘Legacies & Innovations: Cheongsam Fashion Show’ at Eslite Xinyi Flagship Bookstore (誠品信義旗艦店) in Taipei on 29 November 2013.

To echo the overwhelming response of this unique fashion show, all the 23 creative collections are displayed at The Fashion Gallery of PolyU. The exhibition features over 40 pieces of women cheongsam from 19 PolyU ITC fashion design staff, alumni and students, as well as 4 design staff from two fashion schools in Taipei: Fu Jen Catholic University and Shih Chien University. These modern cheongsams incorporate the latest trends in fabric, style, cut and accessories that enhance the charisma and cosmopolitan feel of the dress.
