As an eco-friendly technique, laser treatment has been catching more attention and has been increasingly applied for surface treatment and embellishment in fashion and textile design. This exhibition features the works by Guoxiang Yuan in the past few years. Integrating the developed design process with computer control programme with optimized parameters, laser technique was used to develop new aesthetic possibilities of colour and pattern on fabric surface for fashion design.

The illusion and vague from Guoxiang’s works embellished with the images of optical illusions imply his pursuit to personal design style, reveal his unique cognition and disciplined thinking on modern fashion design. Using simplicity design as foundation and then adding contrast of abstract pattern with accurate structure incorporating, exploring fashion design to a different level.
