Introduction |

The works of this exhibition are dyed by using natural plants with traditional hand dyeing techniques. It is our hope that through this exhibition we can show the wonder of the traditional techniques, and that by using cotton and linen and silk we can convey the idea of harmony between human and nature.

This exhibition consists of 3 parts: plant printing, plants dyeing, blue dyeing (including batik). A space of about 50 to 80 square meters is needed.

Plant printing: Fresh plant materials such as leaves and stems are printed on to fabrics. These materials are placed in either random or regular patterns, reflecting the beauty of nature.

Plant dyeing: Colors are extracted from the roots and leaves of plants, and are used to dye the fabrics. These are not only environment-friendly but also beautiful.

Blue dyeing and batik: By using tie-dye and batik art these works display the old mysterious blues.
